A Word from Pastor Rebecca

We live in desperate times.  The cost of everything has doubled, tripled, and steadily rising, with no end in sight. Some may even be faced with choosing which bills will be paid and which will be left unpaid. It seems even a dual income family can struggle to make ends meet. But through all of this, there is one thing that remains free … salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9). It might be free to us, but it cost God everything (John 3:16; Romans 8:3; 1 Corinthians 6:20; 1 Peter 1:18-19).

We live in urgent times. There are so many who are lost, broken, hurting … so many who have never even heard the name of Jesus.  This is why our time here is urgent. As Christ followers, we are disciples, called/chosen/faithful to continue the work Jesus started while here. Has the Lord burdened your heart in carrying out the Great Commission? Woman of God, you are His child, an ambassador for Christ, the salt and light that shines His glory in dark places.  I want to remind you: that begins in your home. The family is the first place we get to evangelize. Whether you minister to your spouse, children, parents … we are called to share the gospel with everyone. Let it begin in our homes.

If God has called you to preach … then preach.
If God has called you to teach … then teach.
If God has called you to sing … then sing.
If God has called you to prophecy … then prophecy.
If God has called you to evangelize … evangelize.
If God has called you to pray … then pray.
If God has called you to dance … then dance.
If God has called you intercede … then intercede.

Perhaps you are wearing many hats right now—mom, maybe even dad, daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, friend, chef, maid, chauffer, nurse, counselor, advisor, disciplinarian, teacher, … the list seems to never end. And that is overwhelming. Sister, you can cast every anxiety on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The cares of your heart may be many, but His consolations will lift your heart (Psalm 94:19)! Remember, He will keep you in His perfect peace … because your mind is fixed on Him; you can trust in Him because He is a rock that is everlasting (Isaiah 26:3-4). Do not fear; He will strengthen and help you, holding you up with His mighty right arm (Isaiah 41:10)!

Woman of God, this world needs YOU. You are a mighty warrior, and God is with you (Judges 6:12). He will never leave or forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6-8; Hebrews 13:5). Whatever you do, do it as unto Him. Do not grow weary in doing His work, for in His perfect timing, you will reap a rich harvest … IF you do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Luke 1:37 – For with God nothing will be impossible.
